• 40 MW Solar Power Plant: A massive 40 MW solar power plant is being established on the banks of the Saryu River by NTPC Green. This will significantly contribute to Ayodhya’s power needs and reduce reliance on conventional sources.
• Solar Rooftop Panels: Government buildings, including RML Awadh University, Agriculture University, and the district court, are adorned with rooftop solar panels, generating a total of 2.5 MW.
• Solar Trees: 40 solar trees of 1 kW capacity and 18 of 2.5 kW capacity are lighting up various places in Ayodhya. These innovative structures not only provide illumination but also add an aesthetic touch.
• Solar Streetlights: Over 800 solar streetlights illuminate the famous Ram Path, leading to the temple, and other parts of the city, promoting energy efficiency.

Beyond Solar:

• Surya Tilak for Ram Lalla: Every Ram Navami, a unique system designed by CSIR and CBRI channels sunlight onto the forehead of Ram Lalla’s idol, symbolizing a “Surya Tilak.”
• Electric Vehicle Charging Stations: Two solar-powered EV charging stations are being set up to encourage the use of electric vehicles and reduce carbon footprint.
• Solar Cold Storage: A 6 MT solar cold storage facility at the mandi helps farmers store their produce efficiently and sustainably.
