For the stakeholder consultation, IIEC welcomed Mr. Amit Sharma, IAS, Secretary and Mr. Narayankumar Sreekumar, Associate Director, Electric Mobility, Shakti to share their views on future of clean and sustainable transportation systems. 

Due to the UT’s geographical constraints and prolonged winters, coupled with a short cropping season, the food sector in this region faces a lack of self-sufficiency. With sustainable transport system, the UT can flourish and fulfill its Carbon Neutral Ladakh Vision.  The workshop on ‘EVfying last mile freight in the UT of Ladakh’ was conducted as part of our ongoing project ‘Technical Assistance for identification of opportunities and challenges in freight electrification in Leh-Ladakh’.
