Amittosh is an experienced professional in the field of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) sector. Over the years, he has worked on various projects aimed at improving energy access and promoting the use of sustainable and efficient energy technologies in rural and remote areas of India. He has led projects on developing DRE enabled Integrated development and energy access plan for the 5 border villages of South West Garo hills in Meghalaya under Vibrant Villages Program of Government of India and for the Mon district of Nagaland with support of District Administration. In his previous role, he also established an industry-academia partnership collaborating with Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) of 6 IITs for technology transfer and knowledge support to the DRE practitioners. He has also authored several reports on the state of the DRE sector in India. In addition, he has led projects focused on increasing energy access and promoting the use of energy efficient appliances and off-grid applications, as well as sensitizing financial institutions towards lending to DRE enterprises and end-users. He has worked for several donors such as GIZ, CLASP, bp India etc. Amittosh holds B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST). He is an electrical machine and renewable energy enthusiast and passionate about cricket and is a regional level basketball player. He has won district and state level quiz competitions during his early days in Assam.
