Note these data centers are highly <strong>power-intensive<\/strong> and cannot afford power shutdowns. This proves that renewable energy has reached quite a matured stage to support such power-intensive establishments. Running data centers on renewable energy also makes sense economically.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the announcement, Adani Group and Digital Realty will together engage in\u00a0evaluating, developing and operating data centers, data center parks, and\u00a0also maintaining\u00a0undersea cable connections across India. Digital Realty has extensive experience in the data center industry and already\u00a0supports data centers, colocation and interconnection strategies of over 2,000 firms throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia.\u00a0Adani Group, on the other hand, has rich expertise in power generation, transmission, retail electricity distribution, access to waterfronts through the ports business, and real estate management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Adani Solar<\/strong>\u00a0is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd., a leading industrial conglomerate in India. The company is developing the world\u2019s largest greenfield solar manufacturing plant with a capacity of 1.2 GW at a\u00a0single location. Adani Solar also recently became one of the 15 largest\u00a0utility solar power developers in the world, ranking with the\u00a0likes of First Solar, Total, SunEdisonandEngie. The company is India\u2019s largest solar cell and module manufacturer with 1.5 GW+ of cell and module capacity. It has also been rated as a Tier-1 bankable company by BNEF.
