As one of the biggest suppliers of solar modules in India, the\u00a0company has now introduced TrinaHome, a complete solar rooftop home solution<\/strong> customized for India. Trinahome is suitable for installation in\u00a0residences, SME establishments and other places like schools and hospitals.<\/p>\n

The Trinahome solar kit<\/a><\/strong> comprises of solar modules, inverter, grid box,\u00a0and mounting system, and comes with a 25-year module performance warranty.\u00a0It is available in 3 kW, 5 kW,\u00a0and 10 kW capacities. In order to better manage and monitor the performance, these kits also have a dedicated app for customers. With this kit, Trina Solar plans to capture 5%-8% market share<\/strong> in the residential and commercial segments, over the next four to six months in India. The company already has a strong footprint in the large-scale utility segment.<\/p>\n

Rooftop solar growth<\/strong> in India has been very slow, even though the country has high solar insolation and supportive government incentives. India had nearly 22 GW of installed utility solar compared with only 1.2 GW rooftop installations<\/strong>, as at the end of July 2018.<\/p>\n

Trina Solar<\/strong> is looking at training identifying local people and suppliers to make their product popular in the Indian market. The company also conducted extensive training regarding the installation of Trinahome solutions in Mumbai this year. As a result,\u00a032 installers from 26 installer companies received authorized installer certificates. The company also has plans to assemble Trinahome in India in the coming months. Presently, they are being imported from China. Trina Solar still has plans to construct a manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh, India and has also earmarked 90 acres of land for the purpose. The company is waiting for an opportune time when manufacturing domestically will be more economical for Trina.<\/p>\n
