The energy complex is seeing unprecedented change as technology improvements are upending existing business models.\u00a0 Siemens has already made a multibillion-dollar company <strong>Siemens-Gamesa<\/strong> in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenworldinvestor.com\/2017\/11\/14\/global-wind-turbine-industry-sees-growing-volumes-but-decreasing-margins-as-governments-get-smarter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>wind turbine<\/strong><\/a> business. With large centralized power plants seeing very little investments, the turbines and generator businesses in Siemens, GE and others are seeing poor growth. These companies are almost non-existent in the solar industry,\u00a0though both have substantial wind divisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Siemens and GE and others are pivoting themselves to take advantage of new technologies such as IOT and turning themselves more into software companies rather than slow-moving, plodding hardware companies.
