Recently <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenworldinvestor.com\/2015\/07\/01\/japans-softbank-to-be-the-biggest-investor-in-the-indian-solar-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Softbank<\/a>, Foxconn and Rosneft<\/em><\/strong> have announced their intention to set up gigawatts of solar capacity in India. <strong>Trina Solar and JA Solar<\/strong> which are 2 of the world\u2019s biggest solar panel makers are also firming up their plants to set up large scale manufacturing facilities in the country, due to the DCR provision as well as for \u201cMake in India\u201d. <strong>Canadian Solar<\/strong> has also done a JV for setting up manufacturing and also wants to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenworldinvestor.com\/2015\/07\/20\/canadian-solar-expansion-into-india-has-plans-to-set-1gw-of-solar-parks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">set up large solar parks in India<\/a> in association with its associate funds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenworldinvestor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16748\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenworldinvestor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india.jpg\" alt=\"solar panels india\" width=\"640\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iiec-india.org\/greenworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india.jpg 640w, https:\/\/iiec-india.org\/greenworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india-500x266.jpg 500w, https:\/\/iiec-india.org\/greenworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india-300x159.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iiec-india.org\/greenworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india-141x75.jpg 141w, https:\/\/iiec-india.org\/greenworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/solar-panels-india-480x255.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 480px, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Solar in India<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now another large Chinese company <strong>Zhenfa Energy<\/strong> plans to set up 2 GW of solar power plants in India in a JV with Rolta Power. Note Rolta is more known for its government IT contracts and has recently set up a module manufacturing line. The company has tied up with Chinese Zhenfa Energy.<\/p>\n<p>The Zhenfa Group claims to have developed over 3000 MW of solar power plants in China and recently acquired a solar encapsulants maker in USA. There is little information about the ownership and the antecedents of the group, as Zhenfa Energy was set up in 2012.
